Gregory L. Kochenour

Dallastown- Gregory L. Kochenour, 50, went to be with his Lord early Wednesday evening, December 10, 2008 at York Hospital after a lengthy illness. A Celebration of Life tribute memorial service will be held at 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 14, 2008 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Pl., Red Lion with his pastor, the Rev. Lawrence A. Cummings of Christ Lutheran Church, Dallastown. A visitation will be held from 7 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial is private and at the convenience of the family. Gregory was born in Shrewsbury on March 17, 1958, a son of Charlotte A. (Smith) and the late Richard E. Kochenour. He was a York County School of Technology 1976 graduate. Gregory was employed with Harley-Davidson as a truck driver until he medically retired in 2006. He was a social member of the Dallastown American Legion and enjoyed riding motorcycles until he was not able to anymore. Gregory was an avid NASCAR fan and his favorite drivers were both the late Dale Earnhardt and Dale Earnhardt, Jr. In addition to his loving mother, Charlotte, Gregory is survived by a brother, Kevin R. Kochenour and his wife Sue of Red Lion; a sister, Sandy M. (Kochenour) Tilton and her husband, Gary of Red Lion; four nieces; and two nephews. Gregory's father, Richard E. Kochenour precedes him in death (1985). In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to VNA, 218 E. Market St., York, PA 17403.
