Ethel Marie (Ebersole) Kindig

YORK- Ethel Marie (Ebersole) Kindig, 85, died Saturday, January 5, 2013 at York Hospital. She was the wife of Raymond L. Kindig. The couple celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary on May 7, 2012. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at Chapel United Methodist Church, 3050 Cape Horn Rd. in Red Lion, with a viewing from 10-11 a.m. at the church. The Reverend Robert Vizthum and The Reverend Brett Kindig will be officiating at the service. Burial will be in Mount Rose Cemetery in York. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York is in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Kindig was born in York on March 25, 1927, the daughter of the late Roy E. and Mary F. (Snell) Ebersole. She retired in 1989 from Central York School District where she was a Secretary for 30 years at Roundtown Elementary School. Mrs. Kindig was a member of Chapel United Methodist Church in Red Lion and White Rose American Business Women’s Association. She enjoyed bowling in senior leagues at both Colony Park North and East. Mrs. Kindig leaves two sons, Byron Lee Kindig and his wife Sharon of Levittown, and Craig Alan Kindig and his wife Linette of Dover; four grandchildren, Rachelle Davis and her husband Brian, Brett Kindig and his wife Michele, Tara Kindig, and Neal Kindig; two great grandchildren, Matthew and Jenna Davis; and a sister Dorothy Brodbeck of Cross Keys.
