WATSONTOWN - Esther M. (Royer) McWilliams, 86, went to be with her Lord on May 17, 2009 at her home surrounded by her family. Esther was born May 21, 1922 in Northumberland Co. PA, and was the daughter of the late Sidney Royer and Mary (Bollinger) Heddings. On October 28 1950 she married the late Kenneth S. McWilliams. Esther worked for Philco Ford in Watsontown as a cabinet finisher, and attended the Friendship Baptist Church. Esther enjoyed crocheting, baking, cooking, sewing and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. Esther is survived by her son Kenneth J. (Mary M.) McWilliams of Turbotville, her daughters: Mary Fry, Linda Jean McWilliams, and Janice Rae McWilliams, all of Watsontown. Also surviving are five grandchildren: Willard J. Little II of Pittsburgh, PA, Teresa M. Plank of Nippa, KY, and Samuel, Steven, and Jason McWilliams of Turbotville, her three great grandchildren: Hunter W. Clark, Christina and Eli Plank, her brothers and sisters-in-law: Frank (Wilma) Heddings, Warren (Maggie) Royer, Davis (Ida) Royer, Robert (Linda) Royer, George Royer, Kenneth Heddings, and Betty Royer, along with several nieces and nephews. Esther is preceded in death by her parents: Sidney (Hazel) Royer and Mary (Fred) Heddings, her husband Kenneth who died September 02, 1981, her son Clark S. and her daughter Lilly D. McWilliams. Also preceding her in death is a sister Anna M. Dorsey, her two brothers: Paul and Johnny Royer, her sister-in-law Judy Royer, her son-in-law Donald Fry, and two grandsons: Stanley and Kenneth J. McWilliams, JR. The memorial service to honor Esther's life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 23, 2009 at the Friendship Baptist Church, 10 Voris Lane Watsontown, PA with Pastor Jerry Caswell officiating and her son, Kenneth J. McWilliams assisting. Burial is at the convenience of the family at the Harmony Cemetery. Family will provide flowers. In lieu of flowers contributions in her memory can be made to: Evangelical Hospice, Friendship Baptist Church, 10 Voris Lane Watsontown, PA 17777 or to the Family Life Center of Delaware Run Weslyan Church, 5570 Musser Lane Watsontown, PA 17777. Arrangements were handled by the Dale E. Ranck Funeral Service, 125 N. Front St., Milton, PA.
