Dolores (Stralker) Hamilton

YORK- Dolores (Stralker) Hamilton, 91, a resident of Shiloh from 1976 to 2022, died on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at UPMC Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of Howard A. Hamilton to whom she was married for 63 years.

Services for Mrs. Hamilton are private at the convenience of the family. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York is in charge of arrangements.

Born on June 17, 1932 in Buffalo, NY she was a daughter of the late Joseph P. and Victoria Ann (Banas) Stralker. Dolores was a Teacher’s Aid for the West York School District until her retirement.

Mrs. Hamilton was a member of the Lioness Lions Club in Shiloh. She loved gardening, painting, sewing and arts and crafts. Most importantly, she enjoyed taking care of her husband.

Along with her husband, Howard, Dolores is survived by two sons, Philip Hamilton and his wife, Sascha Abramson of Bloomsbury, NJ and Stephen Hamilton and his wife, Kristine of Knightdale, NC; two grandchildren, Austin Hamilton and his wife, Dayanna of Clayton, NC and Katarina Hamilton of Raleigh, NC; and sister, Joan Groh and her husband, David of Erie, PA.
