Dawn Lee Hicks

TROY- Dawn Lee Hicks, 43, of Troy, PA, passed away on Friday, December 12, 2008 at the Troy Community Hospital in Troy, PA. Family and friends are welcome to gather from 2:00-3:00 PM on Sunday, December 21, 2008 at the Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral Home Inc., 110 West Main Street, Troy, PA. The memorial service to honor Dawn's life will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday at the funeral home with Pastor Jerry Berbary officiating. Dawn was born on May 7, 1965 in Towanda, PA, the daughter of Robert Hicks of Troy and Kae M. Hicks also of Troy, PA. She was a Towanda High School graduate, class of 1983, and was currently a student of Mansfield University. Dawn was also working for the Food Service/Catering Department of the university. Dawn is survived by parents Robert and wife Mickie Hicks of Troy, PA and Kae Hicks of Troy, PA, her children Brittany D. Hicks of Troy, PA, and Marcus D. Parrott of Horseheads, NY, her fianc鐠Mitch Parrott of Horseheads, NY, her brothers and sister: Dorene (Mike) Fives and son Brayden of Troy, PA, Tim (Lori) Hicks and daughters Allyssa and Taryn of Millerton, PA, Scott Hicks of Williamsport, PA, William (Anne) Hicks and daughters Margaret and Ella, of Elk Ridge, MD, Dr. Steven (Teresa) Renzi and daughter Gianna of Havertown, PA, along with numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Dawn was preceded in death be her grandparents; Ivan and Eleanor Hicks, and Warren and Glaedys Stehr, along with her special nephew Devin Fives. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that to honor Dawn's memory, memorial contributions may be made to trusts set up for her children Brittany and Marcus c/o First Citizen's Bank, 2 West Main St. Troy, PA 16947.
