RED LION - Dale R. Haugh, 86, entered into rest at 1:55 p.m. Friday, September 5, 2008, at ManorCare Health Services - Kingston Court, after a lengthy illness. He was the husband of Kathleen (Whitcombe) Haugh with whom he observed a 63rd wedding anniversary on October 17th. A Celebration of Life Service will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion with his pastor, the Rev. Charles Salisbury, officiating. Viewing will be 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday. Burial with military honors by the York County Veterans Honor Guard will be in Red Lion Cemetery. Mr. Haugh was born June 28, 1922, in Red Lion. He was the son of the late J. Emory and Kathryn A. (Heisler) Haugh. He was a sanding machine operator with the former Red Lion Table Company retiring in 1978 after 30 years with the company. He then worked with the custodial department of the Red Lion School District for an additional 11 years until January of 1988. He was a longtime member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church and Sunday School in Red Lion and had also volunteered with the Red Lion Ambulance Association for 11 years. He was a US Army Air Corp veteran of World War II serving as a military policeman with the 452nd Air Service Group of the Eighth Air Force. In addition to his wife, Mr. Haugh is survived by his son, Barry Haugh of York; three grandchildren, Susette Grim and husband, Jerry, Kristen Wolf and husband, Brian, and Joshua Haugh and wife, Linnete; seven great grandchildren, Hannah Wolf, Sarah Wolf, Brady Wolf, Adam Grim, Alicia Grim, Kayla Haugh, and Gabriel Haugh.
