YORK TOWNSHIP- C. Eugene Dosch, 86, of York, died Thursday, September 29, 2011 at Manor Care Health Services-South in York. He was the husband of Dorothy Rebecca (Mittel) Dosch. The couple celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary on March 23rd. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, October 3, 2011 at Locust Grove United Church of Christ, 1035 Locust Grove Rd. in York, with a viewing from 8-10 a.m. His pastor, The Reverend Rick Stuempfle will be officiating at the service. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, with full military honors by York County Veterans Honor Guard. Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion is in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Dosch was born in East Prospect on April 4, 1925, a son of the late Harry C. and Estella Pearl (Wallace) Dosch. He retired from the former Allis-Chalmers, now Voith Hydro in York and also enjoyed farming at his residence. Mr. Dosch was a member of Locust Grove United Church of Christ in York, Kreutz Creek VFW Post 7045, and East Prospect Baseball team and Band and a charter member of EYC Boys Club. He served in the US Army during WWII in the European Theatre. Mr. Dosch leaves two sons, Darwin B. Dosch and his wife Judy of York, Delbert E. Dosch and his wife Debra of Jacksonville, FL; four grandchildren, T. Amanda Dosch of Falls Church, VA, Ashley T. Dosch of York, and Marc Dosch and Sarah Dosch, both of Knoxville, TN; and a sister, Treva Henny of York. A daughter, Beverly J. Kottmyer and a grandson, Robert Kottmyer, Jr. had preceded him in death. Memorial contributions may be made to Locust Grove United Church of Christ, 1035 Locust Grove Rd., York, PA 17402.
