Betty Virginia (Mann) Breen, 90, passed away Thursday, August 18, 2016. She was the wife of the late James C. Breen, Sr. She was born in York, the daughter of the late Hazel E. (Swartz) and Earl W. Mann, Sr. Mrs. Breen worked at House of Windsor in Yoe and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and their Pacesetters group. She was known for her love of baking goodies, especially sticky buns and apple pie. She is loved by many who called her Mom, Grandma, Mammaw or just GMB (Grandma Breen.) Surviving are three sons, James C. Breen, Jr. and wife Carmen, Timothy Breen and wife Brenda both of York, Thomas Breen and wife Lori of Red Lion; two daughters, Susan Baublitz and husband Thomas and Ann Leader and husband Robert both of York; and a daughter in law, Beth Breen of Wrightsville. She was greatly loved by 15 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and ten great great grandchildren. Also surviving are three brothers, Earl Mann Jr. and wife Alberta of State College, John Mann and wife Dotty of York, Gary Mann and wife Dorothy of Dover; a sister, Suzanne Yinger of Dover; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sons, Stephen and John Breen; a great great grandson Caleb Jacoby; a brother, Harry Mann; and a sister, Gloria Snyder. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, August 27, 2016 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 251 E. Main Street, Dallastown with her priest, The Rev. John McClosky OFM Cap. officiating. A viewing will be held from 10-11:00 AM Saturday at the Church. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 251 E. Main Street, Dallastown, PA 17313 or a favorite charity.
