YORK- Audrey (Bracken) Urling, 92, of York Township, died Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at County Meadows at Leader Heights. She was the wife of the late Walter C. Urling, Jr. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York. The Reverend Raymond Fravel and Certified Celebrant Betty Frey will be officiating at the service. There will be a visitation from 6-8 p.m. on Friday and 10-11 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Mrs. Urling was born in Pittsburgh on October 20, 1921, the daughter of the late Charles H. and Olive (McShane) Bracken. She worked as an attorney for the Army Corps. of Engineers in Baltimore. She also practiced law in Pittsburgh, Beaver County, and York County. Mrs. Urling was a 1939 Graduate of Brentwood High School and a 1943 Graduate of Duke University , and graduated from University of Pittsburgh Law School. She was a member of the York Bar Association, Welcome Wagon, Women’s Club of York, and White Rose Bridge Club. She was the Chairman of the building committee for the 1983 expansion of Yorkshire United Methodist Church in York. Mrs. Urling leaves three daughters, Olive U. Wagner and her husband Mike of Burtonsville, MD, H. Sharon Urling of Dallastown, and Audrey M. Urling and her husband Jeff Baker of Graham, NC; two grandchildren, Charles and Reid Baker.
