Annette A. (Sylvestre) Travers

YORK - Annette A. [Sylvestre] Travers, 93, died Wednesday, January 2, 2008 at Manor Care - South. She was the wife of the late Joseph Travers and the late Joseph P. Hainey. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, January 7, 2008 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 2935 Kingston Rd., York. Viewings will be held from 6-8:00 PM Sunday at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion with a Prayer Service being held at 7:30 PM. There will also be a viewing from 9-10:00 AM Monday at the Church. Burial will be in Mt. St. Mary's Cemetery in Pawtucket, RI. Born May 5, 1914 in Central Falls, RI, a daughter of the late James and Meralda [Carufel] Sylvestre, she retired from Darlington Fabrics in Pawtucket. She was active with the York Flower and Garden Club; Pawtucket Garden Club; volunteered at Memorial Hospital in Pawtucket; and enjoyed ballroom dancing. Mrs. Travers also enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Mrs. Travers is survived by three sons, Joseph J. Hainey, Sr. and wife Gloria E. Hainey, of Red Lion, Paul L. Hainey of North Attleboro, Mass., James F. and wife Kathleen J. Hainey of Waukesha, WI; nine grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.
