Anna Rebecca (Zarr) Engelman

LEWISBURG - Anna Rebecca (Zarr) Engelman, 82, of Lewisburg, was called home by her Savior on Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at her residence. Anna was born on May 15, 1927 in East Chillisquaque Township, Northumberland County and was the daughter of the late George Robert and Mary (Moser) Zarr. On November 25, 1948, she married Charles Henry Engelman, Sr. and celebrated 38 years of marriage before his death on May 8, 1987. She had worked at Fox Knapp for 20 years until the plant closed. She was a member of the Mazeppa Union Church. Anna is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law; David M. and Patte Engelman of Muncy and Charles H. "Chuck" and Bonnie Engelman, Jr. of Lewisburg, one daughter and son-in-law; Patricia A. "Pat" and Richard Gill of Lewisburg, eight grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, three brothers and four sisters. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers. There will be a public viewing from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, July 11, 2009 at the Dale E. Ranck Funeral Service, 125 N. Front St., Milton with the funeral service beginning at 11 a.m. The Reverend Ricky A. Phillips will officiate the services. Burial will follow in the Mazeppa Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sun Home Health Hospice, 61 Duke St., Northumberland, PA 17857 or to the American Cancer Society, 1948 East Third St., Williamsport, PA 17701.
